In the News [Wrapping up the week]

long_weekend

#TGIF!!! Oh yes it the weekend, what a week I had at work. One of the roughest week ever!! This week was also about self realisation and being true to myself and what I really love(careerwise). It’s true what they say, do you what you love and everything will follow. you can have a fat pay check but if you not really into it you will never be happy until you decide “you know what, I quit”.

Anyway let’s see the headlines for the week:

#RIP John “Shoes” Moshoeu

John-M

South Africa has lost a great soccer legend, former Bafana Bafana John “Shoes” Moshoeu . He passed away this afternoon after a long battle with cancer. Shoes played for Kaizer Chiefs and went overseas to play for the Turkish league from 1997 to 2003. Moshoeu was part of the Bafana squad that won the 1996 African Nations. The former soccer player was capped 73 times for the national team. Moshoeu hung his boots in 2004.

He was 49-years-old when he passed on.

Rest In Peace Legend

Germany takes the World Cup title

image

Germany was just crowned the 2014 World Cup champions in Brazil after they struck gold by scoring a goal in extra time. The champions were playing against the South American team Argentina in the finals. It’s unfortunate for Messi not to take the Cup but nonetheless well done to Germany they played some good football throughout the Tournament. Well done to Argentina as well for reaching the 2014 World Cup finals as well.
Germany broke a few records in this world and sure deserve to be crowned the world champions.
